Of Defense Joint Program Office When the military establishes an encampment, it uses a communications system at the four quadrants with integrated weather station, motion detectors and global positioning system. To replace a system with 52 separate cases, the new unit redesigns and integrates all pieces into two 2x2x4-foot plastic and aluminum hexagonal bricks. Fully compatible with forklifts and cranes, the units can be stacked, carried and set up without tools in under two minutes.
