Flat-conductor technology creates a circuit under the traffic layer of the floor for power and data points. Pillars can be attached to the rug at specific points indicated by the grid to create layouts customizable to the immediate needs of the user. "Today's dynamic offices require immense flexibility. Rug conceptually explores what can be done to overcome the 'spaghetti' nightmare of managing all the cables and power requirements of a typical office environment. Playing on the notion of 'out of sight, out of mind,' Rug properly (and playfully) utilizes the technology that initially created the mess and provides a solution that incorporates flexibility-all without re-routing a single cable." -Henry Kim, IDSA, Hill-Rom |
